Fewer than the headlines suggest, and acceptance means less than most buyers assume.
This page explains what the word covers and who else has to agree. Which projects will consider it this quarter is not published anywhere. Contact the desk at Miami Dossier for the current position on any building we cover.
Developers do not publish a policy on digital assets. What exists instead is a position, held internally, revisited when the sales team is asked, and changed when banking relationships change. A project that considered it last year may not this year, and the reverse is equally common.
That is why you will not find a credible list anywhere, including here. Any page claiming to name the developers who take crypto is either out of date or selling something.
What can be said honestly is the shape of it. A minority of projects will consider it. The consideration is case by case, weighted by the size of the purchase and the cleanliness of the record. And the developer is not the last word.
Almost always conversion, not custody. In practice the buyer converts to dollars and wires dollars. The developer is agreeing to a purchase funded from digital assets, not agreeing to hold them. Very few parties in this chain want to hold a volatile asset across a construction period.
Often the deposit only. A developer may accommodate a first deposit and still expect later deposits and the closing balance through conventional banking. Ask which payments are covered, not whether crypto is accepted.
Subject to the escrow agent. The developer sets commercial terms. The escrow agent, the title company and the receiving bank each answer to their own compliance obligations, and any of them can decline after the developer has said yes.
Subject to the amount. A position that is comfortable at one size is often not at another. The threshold is rarely stated and almost always exists.
The useful question is never whether Miami developers accept cryptocurrency. It is whether this project, at this size, on this deposit schedule, with this escrow agent, will accommodate this funding route.
That question has an answer. It changes month to month, it is held by the people who ask it repeatedly, and it is not on a website.
The unhelpful version of this conversation starts with a buyer who has read that crypto is accepted in Miami and has built a plan on it. The helpful version starts with a specific building and a specific funding route, and gets a yes or a no in days rather than weeks.
The position on digital assets is one of the few facts that can end a purchase after everything else has gone well, and it is one of the easiest to establish early. Contact the desk at Miami Dossier and we will check the current position on any building we cover, including when the answer is no. Where a question is legal, tax or compliance, we introduce you to advisers who handle that properly rather than answering it ourselves.
That is the fact that decides whether a funding route works, it changes by building and by month, and a page cannot hold a moving number. Contact the desk at Miami Dossier and we will give you the current position on any building we cover, including when the answer is no. Where a question is legal, tax or structuring, we will introduce you to advisers who handle that properly rather than answering it ourselves.
